1.Introduction

Urban underground space has become an important part of national space resources. On September 1, 2021, the "Regulations of Shanghai Urban Renewal" was promulgated and implemented, which clearly proposed to carry out comprehensive planning and integrated upgrading and renovation of above-ground and underground Spaces, improve the efficiency of urban space resource utilization, and comprehensively improve the quality of urban ecological environment. This shows that Shanghai has entered the stage of connotative development based on stock development. However, the lack of development of typical regional underground space, such as central business district, historic protected area, old residential quarters, schools and hospitals in the central urban area represented by Shanghai, has become a short board affecting the sustainable development of the city. Therefore, optimizing the development and utilization of underground space to help urban renewal construction, operation and maintenance has become an urgent issue to be solved.
"2024 Underground Space Renewal and Operation and Maintenance Exhibition" is an important exhibition direction of the theme of "Urban Safety and Lifeline" in the Plate "Underground Space Engineering and Technology" of this Expo. The exhibition focuses on the advanced equipment, green environmental protection materials, integrated pipe galleries and pipelines, underground space detection technology and equipment, underground engineering information and safety design, major disaster prevention in urban underground space, and construction of underground space storage facilities.
